LinkedIn Career Expert Blair Heitman told CNBC Make It: “More and more companies are moving away from traditional measures such as degrees and years of experience to hiring based on skills to ensure they hire the most talented people who can really deliver results.”
Technical skills are the primary criteria recruiters consider when evaluating candidates, but soft skills such as multitasking and problem solving can also be a deal breaker. According to ZipRecruiter, it plays a key role in hiring decisions.
To help job seekers decide which skills to highlight on their resumes, LinkedIn identified the top 20 skills employers are currently looking for. These skills were featured in more than three-quarters of paid jobs posted worldwide on LinkedIn in the past three months.

However, the skills employers are looking for are constantly changing.
